Introduction
Arun HPCC is a high performance computing cluster freely available for academic research.
Background
Established in 2013 at Computer Center, University of Rajshahi under direct supervision of Department of Physics. The name 'Arun' in Bengali means 'The first light ray of the sun', exactly what we have in terms of High Performance Computing cluster in Bangladesh. But the name actually chosen after Prof. Emeritus Dr. Arun Kumar Basak, one of the pioneer scientist in physics.
Starting with a generous donation from International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Arun-HPCC is the initiative to bring cluster computing free to all academic research in need of high performance computing.
